Female OC Characterization

So, I have been browsing around AFF to find good stories. And I came across a hodgepodge of such poor-made, irritating, and don't forget the oh-so-perfect female OC(s). The descriptions I encountered are either this:

Ching Chong is a filthy rich girl who has everything in the world, but she is sweet, kind, and a happy-go-lucky-girl. Don't forget, she's a nerd and dates the most badass kingka (whatever that is) in the whole entire world, Lee Sungjong. Oh, she also hates the school's queenka, Hyuna.  

Or this:

You or __ is a poor girl who lost her parents because of a spaceship attack. Now you have no money and has to take care of yourself. But because you are so perfect, you were able to keep yourself smelling good, even though you're penniless. One day, by some miracle, Myungsoo steps into the picture, although he has better things to do than take care of a homeless stranger, and provides you a home. 


Or this:

Bert What I meant was Soyu, is a kick-ass girl who will rip the shreds out of you if you get in her way. But, she softens up when she decides to pick on the school's number one nerd, Kim Sunggyu. (trust me, I have seen this plot so much).

And finally:

King Kong is a fat girl. She doesn't have friends, and her Christmas picture is still printing because that's how fat she is. Because of a bet, Hoya asks her out. At first, he didn't like it, and now he's falling madly in love with her. (note: not all fat people are friendless!)

My thoughts on this was ... what the dodo bird? Where is the individuality? Is being normal a sin? And the atrocious part is, that it's a YOU fic. That means I have to insert my name and pretend it's me. To be honest with you, those descriptions are nowhere near the mighty great Erika. No, I am not some homeless scum nor am I stinking rich (I wish I was), neither am I sweet, kind, a nerd (at least I don't consider myself one), a gangster girl, or overall a Mary Sue*. I am just Erika who lives a very boring life on this planet Earth.

Do I hate Mary Sue characters? Naaww... I just find them very unoriginal, unrealistic, and a nuisance. All girls are not just made of sweetness, they are also made up of sugar and spice, and everything nice ... Well, according to this poem, that is. And please don't think that I hate girly-girls. I am actually very fond of them, you know, if they're a Disney princess character. Although, it's pretty awkward when I watch Disney princess movies, especially when the girl is dreaming/singing that her prince will someday come. We all know in reality that is not going to happen 99.9% of the time (feel free to correct me on that one). The one I was never sticky on was Mulan, and I dearly love that movie.

So, to sum it down, there is nothing wrong with being normal. Have some originality, though I wouldn't advise you to be too original. Otherwise, it would end up like this:

Krung Krung is a girl who lived a boring life. Everything she did was the same: eat, sleep, and poop. She wasn't perfect, she was ... normal.


No! Just no! Even if that wasn't cliche, most people would not bother to read something like that. Try to have a mixture of reality and fantasy, after all, it's fanfiction.

A Contemplation On My Internet Name

In other words, the story behind Azn-Kaykay and my blog url. I know it's not to your interest that I talk about how I thought of my internet name(s), but this is something I've wanted to post a long time ago.

1. Azn-Kaykay
This nickname has always been significant to me because it was the beginning of my internet life. Back then, I never went to the computer, but instead played video games, prioritized my studies, and/or exercise (it's not that I don't, but I don't do it as often now). It was last year that my friend had introduced me to tumblr and I decided why not. So, I had to come up with a url; it was then that the name Azn-Kaykay was born. In short, Azn means Asian, and Kaykay is a double of my other nickname.

2. Kaikai98
Thinking about it just now, it sounds pretty gay (along with my blog's name). But, I may want to rename my blog so that's why my url couldn't be dreamdoodles.blogspot.com or anything like that. Although, it may not be as special as Azn-Kaykay, the meaning is really memorable to me. Kai is a double of many of my nicknames, and what is distinct about it is that only my grandma calls me that (just add the pinoy accent to it). The 98 part is my favorite numbers. Since my birthday is 9/9, nine has always been my favorite number, and my other grandma has always made a fuss about how I should always choose eight because it is the Cantonese lucky number.

Okay, I do apologize if that was too technical, when I could have just said their meanings in one or two sentences.

I'm Back!

Hello! I'm back to blogging freely since exams are over. I tried playing with the Movie Maker thing and I ended up making a video of what I did two days ago and today. Is it just me or does my voice sound weird? I mean, it sounds so different hearing it in a video. Anyways, I'll be going to Six Flags tomorrow and that guy I like (well, used to like), I'm not in the same group as him because we're going by teams. It's not fair! /throws a tantrum/

Three Down, Two More To Go

Imagine a girl (around the age of 65), with a shabby appearance, trying to cram things on the last minute. Lights closed, the only source is a flashlight, whose light is illuminating on her horrendous face. Her work space is chaotic with broken pencils and paper flying around, here and there. Who would that girl be? Me.

Haha, how did you like my little scenario? I know, I was exaggerating about the broken pencils and paper flying around, but that was basically me for the whole week. Although, my exams are not over yet, I'm devouring my study time to blog because the Science and Social Studies portion isn't until the next week. So I basically have Friday and today to just chillax and surf the internet freely. I must say that it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Of course, there were some questions that just killed me in the inside, like the math and reading portion.

Overall, I have two more subjects to take until the torture days are over. Good luck to those who are facing exams, and till then peaches!

Semi-Hiatus Next Week

Yup, exactly what the title says. So, like mentioned, my major exams are next week and that means I'm going to have to study hard. All these memorizing formulas, definitions, and shiz are ruining my precious brain, causing me not to think clearly. Sigh, I'm not going to have a hiatus this week, but next week (except the weekends), and two days after that. So ... if you leave any messages to me, for example: "I have moved my blog, please relink" or, "Hey! Wassup, I haven't talked to you in a while." I'm not going to be able to respond to you ASAP, unless you email me. And please don't laugh at my email name (I know it sounds gay), because I made it back when I was eleven and a video game geek person. Also, don't email me to relink you because, like said, I'm not going on the computer for a whole week.

I also feel that I'm a bad author because I was supposed to be editing/revising my story, but I just can't seem to find a time to do that, at the moment. Meh is just hoping that I won't lose subscribers nor will I lose their interest. Geez, my life just sucks right now (sorry my negative perspective of life). On a happier note, I found out that we're moving to a new state *cough* California. What makes it even better is that I'm going to either live in Koreatown or somewhere near. It's about time I leave this boring state (even though I will miss it from time to time).

I feel like this post is short from the amount I usually write, so enjoy these random videos of my bias(es).

My sister is such a troll. She just freaking kicked me out the computer, so I can't do what I intended to do today. Also, my major exams are next week, so that's what is also stopping my plans. I can't wait 'till exams are over! Such a short entry, huh?

Hello! You guys wanna know what I do when I study? It's easy ... nothing! Mwuhaha, not really, I'm actually studying/blogging/updating. Life is such a troll! Spring break before testing? That's just whack, I tell you. Whack! Is it just me or have I been complaining about studying? Don't worry, it'll be over before you know it next four weeks. Here's a little scenario below on what I did the past few days (studying).

Saturday: 

"Yes, Erika, you can do this! WOOYEAH!" *Looks at notes* "What has B.A.P been up to?" *Goes to watch Warrior* "Oh Shyet, they're hot!" *During the end of the video* "Zeloo~ why did you shoot him?! We were supposed to get married!" /Don't kill me guys, but I have not seen the music video all this time/

Sunday:

"I'll be for real this time and actually study. Yes ... yes ... screw this shiz, I'm gonna eat!"

Monday: 

*Watching She's A Flirt and Dongwoo comes on* "DSHJSDHF! Why are aren't you my husband yet?" *Reads the eng sub* "I demand Dongwoo to take me right now-Oh my lawwd I need to study!" 

Haha, sorry about that guys. So yeah, that's what I've been doing for the past three days ... semi-studying and shiz. Gif spam ahead.
